Experience 02
Outdoor climbing,
on rope.
A supported first day on real rock, from tying in and belaying to trusting your feet above the ground.
01 The experience
Build confidence
one move at a time.
This day introduces the foundations of outdoor rock climbing in a calm, practical way. The rope protects you from above while you focus on movement, balance, footwork and the experience of being on real stone.
You will also understand the system around the climbing: how a harness fits, how the rope connects the team, what a belayer does and how climber and belayer communicate.
02 What you learn
The climber,
the belayer,
the system.
- How a harness, rope and belay system work together
- Basic checks, commands and communication before a climb
- How to belay under direct supervision
- Foot placement, balance and efficient movement on real rock
- How to rest, breathe and make decisions while on the wall
- How to lower and finish a climb calmly
